Wow, just wow.. just discovered this little gem today. Very small, looks like something straight out of a 1950s diner.. smelled heavenly when we walked. Looks like a family run place. Friendly and very clean. Small tables and stools at the counter
Out of this world cheeseburgers .. havent had this quality of burger in decades. And yes in AM serious. Decades. Cooked and flavored to perfection generous amounts of the requsted toppings and a perfect seedless bun.
Yummmmmmmm
Husbands chocolate malt was delicious, fries and onion rings perfect.
A tad Pricy compared to fast food i guess, but the difference in quality is astronomical.
Well worth it... -

Oh my, what a great little hole-in-the-wall burger joint! People who came here are obviously locals and regulars! The restaurant is tiny, there are probably 10 counter seatings and 5 tables (most are table of 2s). The ventilation there is not that good, so do prepare to smell like burgers ahahaha. There are plenty of parking in the lot behind the restaurant so it was certainly a plus.
The menu is simple, several varieties of burgers, grilled sandwiches, hot dogs and some typical sides like onion rings and fries. They also offer a couple different pies and they also have milkshakes!
It's hard to spend 10 bucks and less on a meal these days, so this place is awesome! The burgers are normal size too..unlike McDonald's tiny burgers, so you will definitely be full!
We will definitely frequent this joint :) -

They serve up a REALLY good cheeseburger. I got mine with grilled onions and all the fixings. It reminded me of Hodad's...my favorite burger in San Diego. The burger doesn't come with fries, you have to order them separately. I opted for onion rings. The onion rings were ok. They were nice and crisp but pretty greasy. I'm not sure I would order them again. I would probably get the fries....and maybe order the fries "crispy" as they seemed a little light in color for my liking. I didn't try a shake/malt. I would like to try that next time, for sure.
Overall, I would definitely comeback here again when I'm in the area. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because of the noise level. The fan over the grill is SUPER loud. And the place is really small. The sound of the grill-fan really takes over the entire place. -

This is a historic Richmond eatery that offers origins authentic diner like hamburgers, shakes and fries.
Wether ordering to go or dining in, you will enjoy your time spent at this location thanks to the wonderful staff.
Their shakes are their secret sauce! Add fries for true experience. -

If you ever want to feel like you're in a small town even though you're in a city, come here because this is the cutest greasy spoon type diner with friendly service and fresh hot fast food that I've come across since moving back to El Cerrito. Finally, a worthy replacement for Oscar's, which closed down in Berkeley years ago and left a burger-shaped hole in my heart.
I went in for a regular cheeseburger and fries to go. The greeter rang me up right away, and I watched as the fries went straight from the scooper into my to-go bag. If that's not fresh, hot, and juicy I don't know what is.
